As you all can probably see, the Work In Progress website has been updated substantially with a lot of nifty newness. This weekend should see the end of the first lot of development work and see the website finally switched over to live.
The most obvious change after the new appearance of the site is the inclusion of the great big Google Map on the middle of the main page. All events added to this site, (providing of course that you have a full address for the venue,) will be automatically plotted and some useful maps generated to show people exactly where they need to go.
This functionality is still a wee bitty experimental - any feedback about the way the maps are used is very welcome. As is any other feedback about the website in general.
All members of the site are able to add events - so just Join Up if you aren't already a member and try it out.
Can we get an independant forum seperate from the Ukfurs one?
No, there's no plan now; nor ever to have a separate forum to the UKfurs one.
